When people are afraid to fail, it typically prevents them from even trying at all. Entrepreneurs fail and that is part of the learning that comes with being an Entrepreneur. Don’t be afraid to fail, be afraid of not trying at all. We all plan not to fail, but when it happens, we must learn from it and Keep Moving 4Ward!
I have had many employees over the years not willing to try something new because they were afraid to fail so I created this high level process as a small tool for them to perform a self-assess of their personal willingness to try. When faced with a decision what would then do? Would then ‘try’ or ‘not try’? Would they ask for help or try to figure it out themselves? This process applies to anyone trying something new. Where do you land when you go through this process. If you land on the right side of the model, most likely you are not entrepreneurial. If you land on the left side, you are more likely to be willing to try new things and take help along the way. That is a good trait for an Entrepreneur.
In my book, Keep Moving 4Ward you will find other processes and models that will provide you with a better understanding for what it takes to be an Entrepreneur.
